.During
the breaks at the CD release party I got a chance to chat a little bit
with the artists. It wasn't a formal interview, but I did manage to gather
a little info from the chats. Here are some photos and sound bytes from
the Swampland Jam CD along with a little info on the artists.

Tabby
Thomas
At 62, Thomas now finds himself with one
goal for his music. "I want to add to it [the blues]. I can't be Muddy
Waters, I can't be Howlin' Wolf. I don't play like B.B. King. I don't want
to be them people, I'm just myself. But I want to add something to it for
my legacy, for my children, for my grandchildren."

Jumpin'
Johnny Sansonne
Johnny works out of New Orleans most of the time,
ocasionally making trips around America and the rest of the world with
his band, known as The Blues Party. The music of Jumpin' Johnny is refreshing.
Firmly based in the blues, Johnny adds a taste of New Orleans to the sound
and makes it uniquely his own.

Raful
Neal
Blessed with a powerful, soul-drenched voice and a harmonica
style reminiscent of Little Walter, Mr. Neal can get the well-dressed,
middle-aged ladies that frequent his South Louisiana performances screaming
when he belts out his tunes. Many have been his fans since he started playing
at the age of 15.
