Living in Terrebonne Parish

- We went out into the community of Terrebonne parish and asked some of the residents what they liked and disliked about living in Terrebonne Parish. The responses showed us that living "down the bayou" is a way of life that can only be truly appreciated by living the experience.

	Gerald Ellender Houma, La. Gerald works for a local company that does 3rd party administration for healthcare organizations. "I really like the hunting & fishing here in Terrebonne" Of Houma, he says,"Its' a big town with a small town attitude." "What I like least, is that the planning commission can't seem to keep up with the rapid growth."
	Jack Carter Cocodrie, La. Jack is a Systems Administrator for LUMCON. "The abundance of wildlife here is amazing. I've seen more from my back porch than most people see in a zoo." "The remoteness here can be a little hard to deal with." Editor's note: Cocodrie only has one road in and out.
	Kim Chiasson Houma, La. Kim is a co-owner of a perinatal care company in Houma. "I love the scenery along the bayous and we have the friendliest people anywhere.The fresh seafood can't be matched. I think I love the shrimp best." "The roads here are kinda bad, but they're improving.. What I dislike the most is the misconception other people have of this region. They need to visit here before passing judgement.
	Rick Savoy Bourg, La. Rick is a computer tech for Coffman Enterprises, LLC in Boutte, La. "There's nothing like a bayou scene. The scenery in Terrebonne Parish is like no place I've ever been. I also like the Terrebonne Parish school system. Living in Bourg has one particular drawback and that's its remoteness."
	Dirk Guidry Chauvin, La. Dirk is the owner of Pizza Express in Chauvin, La. "Terrebonne has it all ! Good fishing, good food and great people. Honest, friendly, hardworking people. There are plenty of opportunities here. The worste part of living in Terrebonne Parish is the weather, but you learn to live with it"
